Obituary for Bernice M. "Bea" Yandura
Bernice “Bea” Yandura of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2017 at the age of 89. She was known for her cheerful smile and love for her family.

Bea and her husband George moved from Joliet, IL to Colorado Springs in 1956 with their daughter Susanne. Bea worked as a civil servant at Ent Air Force Base for seven years until she and her husband bought the Garden of the Gods Motel in 1963 which they operated from 1963 to 1987. She was an active participant in the Colorado Springs Motel Association, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the International Polka Club, and Rampart Rangers RV Club. Bea and George shared a love of life, a desire to explore, and a passion for the Colorado Springs tourist industry.

Bea was preceded in death by her husband George and grandson Jeff Andzik. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Susanne (husband Al Andzik), grandson Rob (his wife Steph), granddaughter Elisa Andzik and great grandchildren Kyra and Nate Andzik.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter Catholic School in Bea’s memory. She loved children and valued a good education for them. She was proud to have both her great-grandchildren attend there.
