Steve, age 66, of Thornton, CO, passed away February 8, 2017. Steve was born in Bryn Mawr, PA to Niels Morris Sorensen and Barbara Ann Martin, September 29, 1950.

Steve graduated from Great Valley High School in Malvern, PA in 1968. He joined the US Air Force in 1969 and later served in Vietnam. Steve trained as an aircraft mechanic and worked mostly with C-123s. He lived in Craig, CO for the next 29-years. While in Craig, Steve began working for Colowyo Coal Company where he worked until 2005.

Steve was a beloved family man who cared for his wife, children and grandchildren deeply. He was a master-of-all-trades and had many hobbies. He was a volunteer fireman, city councilman, self-taught craftsman and always a caretaker of others. He loved history and war movies, and was a tried and true Denver Broncos fan.
