Obituary for Susan Elaine Eagar
Susan Elaine Lunceford Eagar, born October 4, 1947 went to her God and Savior, Jesus Christ on October, 11, 2017 after a valiant four year battle with primary ovarian cancer plus secondary bone marrow cancer.
Susan was a devoted Christian wife of 48 years to Ron, amazing mother to Lauren Joy Robinson and Jason Andrew Eagar along with their spouses, grandmother to her 5 grandchildren ages 4-14, sister to Gene Lunceford, and faithful friend.
Susan was a dedicated Registered Nurse to thousands of patients over her forty year nursing career- treating all her patients with outstanding competence and compassion. Susan had the wonderful gift of hospitality, was a great Southern cook, took pride in her flower gardens and yard, had a glorious soprano voice, and made her beautiful house a warm, inviting, and loving home.
Throughout her experience with cancer, Susan excelled in displaying her personal faith in God and Jesus Christ, in modern medicine, and in her desire to role model living and dying gracefully. She and her family are so very grateful for all those who have supported her on this difficult journey.
