Donna Mae Braun
Birth date: September 3, 1937
Death date: May 12, 2012
Braun, Donna Mae, was born in Cashton, Wisconsin on September 3, 1937. She passed away May 12, 2012, with love surrounding her from family and friends.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Melvin Albert Braun, along with her sisters Rita (Kenneth) Hemmersbach and Marian (Ernie) Skillern, five children Lynn (Kevin) Westlake, Lori (Todd) Koechlein, Leanne Braun, Jason (Cheryl) Braun, Jeffrey (Lisa) Braun, twelve grandchildren, and one great grandson, and multiple nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Father (Harold), Mother (Evangeline), Brother (Richard).
Donna and Mel started their family in Sparta, WI. They raised the family in their Lakewood, CO home from 1963 to 1994. Donna worked as an office manager for Inventory Auditors. Donna and Mel attended their children's many sporting and school events, and raised their children in a loving manner. There were many family reunions with the relatives in Wisconsin, typically alternating locations.
They had a love for camping, which they started with the children. They graduated from tents to trailers to motor homes, ending up in a diesel pusher. In 1994, with the kids grown and now retired, they began extensive travel in the motor home. They had many adventures in their motor home, including trips to Calgary, Alaska, Eastern Canada, Newfoundland, and everywhere in between. They hosted many rallies with the Holiday Rambler Club. They made many friends in their travels. After trying a couple of places, they settled into spending their winters in Hemet Ca, with many friends.
Donna brought love and kindness in everything she did. She could always be counted on to be supportive and guide her children and grandchildren (not to mention Mel!) with a firm yet loving hand. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Her 56 years of marriage to Mel was an example to everyone. They embraced life, and weren't afraid to go out and explore the world.
