Obituary for Adela L. Martinez
Adela Lilia Martinez, age 73, of Monte Vista, CO. passed away on April 5, 2014, in Denver CO. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones. Adela was born in Alamosa, Colorado on January 2, 1941, to Maxamino and Magdelena Maestas. Adela graduated from Alamosa High School. Adela was married to Elfido Jose Martinez in 1960. Together they raised five children in Monte Vista. Adela retired in 2002. She enjoyed spending time with her family, having get-togethers at their cabin, crocheting, and taking care of her grandchildren. She is the beloved wife of Elfido Martinez; mother to Elfido & Sandra, Tino & Jill, Theodore & Stacie, Adelmo, and Christina & Mario. Adela “Cita” is remembered by her grandchildren Jeanette, Roberta, Luke, Tony, Haley, Nikki, Christina, Niko, Madilyn, Alexia, Nia, Caleb, and Sydney: sister to Willie, Richard, Val, Josephina, Raymond, Danny, and Gene. Adela loved and was surrounded by so many family members and friends throughout her life in Monte Vista. Please join us to celebrate her life.
