Obituary for Adrienne Jean Coughlin
Coughlin, Adrienne Jean, age 36 of Littleton.
After her courageous battle with breast cancer, Adrienne Jean Coughlin entered into rest on June 18, 2019 in Littleton, CO at the age of 36. She leaves behind her loving husband, Thomas Adrian Coughlin.
Adrienne was born on August 1, 1982 in Dearborn, Michigan, to father Adrian C. Muja and mother Catherine J. Klee. She grew up in a large, loving family with three sisters and two brothers, in Aurora Colorado. In college, she excelled in the biological sciences and graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a degree in Biology in 2010. She then went on to study nursing and graduated from Denver School of Nursing with a BSN in 2012.
Adrienne married her high school sweetheart Tommy on May 14, 2005 at the Denver Botanic Gardens in Denver, CO. As anyone could attest, Adrienne and Tommy loved each other completely and were dedicated in every way. Their kindness and respect for each other could be felt by anyone who knew them. They lived life to the fullest always taking the opportunity to include their family and friends on trips, backyard BBQ hangouts, concerts and countless Colorado Rapids soccer games. They were active snowboarders, hikers, loved camping, going on vacations and especially Adrienne loved trivia night. They both shared a passion for motorcycles. Adrienne in particular loved MotoGP with her favorite rider being Valentino Rossi. In addition to many motorcycle trips and outings with Tommy and friends, Adrienne was the crew chief of a motorcycle racing team.
Adrienne was a driven professional with many talents. She was in the dental profession since high school, focusing on dental office administration and insurance. She then went on to pursue her true passion of nursing. Adrienne was an operating room nurse and surgical coordinator at Porter Adventist Hospital for the extent of her career. She was dedicated to her craft and most importantly to her patients and her colleagues. She LOVED her work and those who worked with her LOVED her. She had an infectious smile, warm heart, loved, and was loved by the countless people who had the pleasure of knowing her. When diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, she remained dedicated in her work and was determined to fight her illness. She remained a brave, determined woman, even throughout her final months. Anyone that knew Adrienne either as an acquaintance, close friend, co-worker or family member experienced her genuine and sincere nature. She was a caring person that always put others before her and cared about the needs of her husband, family and friends despite herself. She was a warm no-nonsense individual. What you saw with Adrienne is what you got. She loved crocheting and was a newly self-taught seamstress. In her free time listening, watching and attending stand-up comedy shows and live music concerts whenever she could. Adrienne is survived by her husband, Tommy; her sisters, Ingrid Muja Prescott, Lydia Muja, Joana Muja; her brothers, Christopher and Erik Kulpa; and numerous nieces and nephews. Adrienne will be greatly missed but would want us to celebrate her life by gathering together and remembering her with laughter, hugs and love.
