Obituary for Allen H. Johnson
Johnson, Allen H., age 80 of Golden. Allen died peacefully at home on February 5, 2014, after a long and heroic struggle with several illnesses. Allen was born on October 26, 1933 in Albert City, Iowa. He moved to Canon City, Colorado during the Great Depression, with his parents and brothers. He graduated from Canon City High School in 1952. In 1959 he married the love of his life Joyce Marie Grant. Allen is survived by his wife Joyce, his son Steve, his daughters Lynnea and Renee, his grandchildren Chelsie, Michael, Nicholas, Alexander and Gabrielle and his great grandson Milo. Al and his family enjoyed a wonderful family life in Colorado, and had the great good fortune to live high in the mountains and enjoy hiking, fishing, mushroom hunting, gold panning, and all that Colorado has to offer. Al loved the Colorado life and shared that passion with his family. We will all miss him so much, and will always feel his joyful presence with us when we look at the mountains.
