Obituary for Andrew David Bay
Andrew David Bay was received into the Communion of Saints on June 13, 2018.
Andrew was born May 3, 1974 in Winfield, Illinois; and moved to Monument, Colorado in September 1987 where he lived with his parents and attended St. Peter Church every Sunday. His parents provided him the round-the-clock care he required to long surpass his life expectancy. For the past two and a half years, he lived with his sister and her family in Westminster, Colorado where he enjoyed cheering on his nephew in basketball and his niece in volleyball. He thoroughly enjoyed the busy life of family outings and adventures.
Andy was a persistent and assertive advocate for his needs especially when it came to his favorite food group, dessert. He was fascinated by trains and spent many hours watching videos and models of trains. Andy enjoyed music and would break into dance whenever he felt the need. Andy brought joy to his family and many who were blessed by experiencing his gift of finding joy in simple things. He preferred being around people and “on the go” despite the physical challenges this involved.
Andrew is survived by his parents, Mary Jo (nee Soller) and Charles J. Bay; his brother Jeffrey Bay and wife Yunhee and their children Shawn Peterson and Sherry Peterson and spouse Sean Patnode, granddaughter Talasia and grandson, Ethan; his brother Charles S. Bay and wife Tanya, their children Rand Parker, Drew Parker, Becca (Ryan Unangst), Haila, Caleb and Chaz; and his sister Ellen M. George and her husband Rick, and their children Alison and Sean.
A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for 10:30 a.m. June 20, 2018, preceded by viewing at 9:30 a.m. and praying the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 55 Jefferson Street, Monument, Colorado 80132.
