Anita, age 57 of Highlands Ranch, CO.
Anita Evaline (Lofgren) Brown was born July 18, 1965 in Salt Lake City, Utah as the second child to Thore Charlie and Helen Evaline (Shaffer) Lofgren.
When Anita was four years old her family moved to Cody, Wyoming, where she spent her childhood. When Anita was fourteen the family moved to Aurora, Colorado where she attended Smoky Hill High School. In 1983 she graduated and moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young University where she met her eternal companion, Garry Brown.
Anita graduated as a registered nurse then the two were married on July 30, 1987. Theirs was a life of love and family. Anita loved working in all areas of nursing, crafting, decorating, and shopping. Most of all she loved working as a mother to her four children. She was charismatic, compassionate, intelligent, and funny. Anita's life was filled with difficult health struggles, overcoming many illnesses that would have stopped someone with less strength. In her final weeks she experienced unimaginable pain, yet she was kind and gracious to those who cared for her.
On September 20, 2022, Anita passed away at home from complications of colon cancer, surrounded by her husband and children. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law Jodee Lofgren.
She is survived by her husband Garry Brown, her children Stephanie (Jesse) Fox, Karly (Mitchell) Allen, Scott Brown, Mandy (Hunter) Hooks, her siblings Jacob (Sherri) Lofgren, Audrey Boston, John Lofgren, Sonja Lofgren, Mark Lofgren, and her eight grandchildren, Maia, Londyn, Jaxon, Gary, Emit, Gracie, Levi, and Glory.
