Obituary for Bonnie Agnes Armstrong
Bonnie Agnes Armstrong (nee Bonnie Agnes Bacon) died peacefully under hospice care at her home on September 5, 2018 in Morrison, Colorado at the age of 78.
Bonnie Armstrong is survived by her husband, Charles Armstrong; her children, Michele Armstrong of Bellingham, Washington and John Armstrong of Ogden, Utah; her siblings, James Bacon of Fredericksburg, Texas, Grace Walsh of Springfield, Missouri, Gregory Bacon of Springfield Missouri, Joseph Bacon of Springfield, Missouri, David Bacon of Springfield, Missouri, and Richard Bacon of Springfield, Missouri. . She is preceded in death by her siblings Phyliss, Mary, Patricia, and William.
Bonnie was born on November 21 1939 in Springfield, Missouri to James and Eva Bacon. . She graduated from Saint Luke’s School of Nursing in Kansas City Missouri in 1965 with a degree in Surgical Nursing.
She married Charles Armstrong, a mechanical engineer in 1966. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Kansas City Missouri, Moberly. Missouri and Lenexa, Kansas until 1972, when after the birth of her second child, she and Charles moved to Denver Colorado. She retained her Nursing license, but was not employed as a registered nurse, rather she taught Red Cross First Aid and CPR courses. For several years following the move to Denver, she was the First Aid Training Coordinator for the Loveland Volunteer Ski Patrol while her husband was a Patroller there.
Bonnie was an accomplished medical professional who was passionate about the safety of children and the education of young parents about the protection of their children. She was an active and dedicated member of the Light of the World Catholic Church and was most active in the making and distribution of Rosaries.
A Memorial in Littleton, Colorado is scheduled for Thursday, November 8 2018 at Light of the World Catholic Church at 1:00 pm, with a reception to follow at the Church. Father Matthew Book will officiate at the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bonnie’s life.

A second memorial will be held in Springfield, Missouri at a later date after which Bonnie’s remains will be interred with her other family members.
The family would like to thank the staff and management of Halcyon Hospice and Always Best Care Senior Services for their care not only in making Bonnie’s final days quiet and comfortable but for their support of the family members.
