Obituary for Bruce Delmar Gray
Castle Rock — Bruce Delmar Gray, 82, died Friday, March 15, 2019 at his residence at Bonaventure of Castle Rock, following a long term illness.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia June Gray (Martin); two sons, Martin (Donna), and Gary (Donna); 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Gaylynn Hart, his only daughter preceded him in death.
Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Delmar and Velma (North).
Bruce graduated from Granite High School in Salt Lake City, and attended Brigham Young University for a year, prior to marrying his eternal companion on June 23, 1955 in the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He began his career in the telecommunications industry with Mountain Bell and worked 40 years in that industry. He started as a lineman and finished his career as an engineering manager. His career took him from Salt Lake City to Denver to Billings to Phoenix and back to Denver where he retired. Bruce was an excellent skier and lettered on the Granite High school Ski Team. He was also a dedicated scout master and mentored many young men in outdoor skills. Bruce overcame some difficult health issues throughout his retirement years and pressed on making the most of his life as a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 20, 2019 at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Centennial, Colorado.
