Obituary for Chad Jeffery Blodget

Blodget, Chad Jeffery, age 36, of Boulder. Survived by Mother Janice, Father Elweyn and Brother Zachary Blodget. Chad Graduated from Wheeler High in Valparaiso, IN and Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Chad was a Lutheran and his faith in God was an important part of his life. To many, Chad was a quiet guy who mostly kept to himself, but to those that knew and loved him, he was a loyal and loving best friend, brother, uncle, nephew and son. Always the brave explorer, Chad's adventurous spirit had him trekking off into the woods, mountains or desert alone, scrambling and climbing some of the highest peaks in the Rockies and Tetons, driving his motorcycle thousands of miles all over the western US and Canada, or surfing in the Pacific. He was a brilliant man, a true to life rocket scientist, engineer, and creative inventor. Chad started his career designing major components of the International Space Station and later moved on to work at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he helped design components of the Mars Rover. Most recently, he worked at the Sierra Nevada Corporation in Louisville, CO and lost his life in a tragic accident driving his motorcycle to work. We’re grateful for every minute of every adventure and every memory of Chad. We will miss him so much.
