Obituary for Colleen Anne Maher
Maher, Colleen Anne, age 53, of Silverthorne, Colorado. Colleen had a smile that radiated like the sun. She had a distinct laugh you could hear for miles. My mom was a woman who exuded confidence when she walked into a room and would be genuinely kind to everyone. Colleen was born in Spokane, Washington on December 6, 1958 and died on June 1, 2012. She was not only a sister to two older brothers and a younger sister, an aunt to one niece and two nephews, or a friend to many people, but she was most importantly a mom to my older-half brother, Michael, and myself, Kate. Even though she lived far from us in her last few years, we always knew that she loved us and treasured us with all of her heart. She was always proud of the accomplishments of Michael and me. She was an incredible woman with a big heart. My mom will truly be missed and her heart will live on through Michael and myself.
