Obituary for Cynthia Kaye Busetti
Busetti, Cynthia Kaye, age 65 of Frederick, Colorado. Cynthia was born on July 17, 1949 of Bennett, Colorado, passed away at home on February 10, 2015. She is survived by siblings Keith Carver, Dianne Prutch, and Bryon Carver, as well as her two children, Rachel (Andrew) Frevert of Frederick, Colorado and Seth (Alexis) Busetti of Houston, Texas and seven grandchildren, Liliana, Amara, and Lincoln Frevert and Elizabeth, Miriam, Boaz, and Moise Busetti. She is preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Carver; father, George Carver; step-mother, Sandra Carver and baby brother George Carver. In July 2009, Cindy was diagnosed with breast cancer. She went through a range of treatments and enjoyed a period of remission. In January 2013, Cindy was again diagnosed, this time with Stage IV Triple Negative Breast Cancer, metastasized to the bone. This inspired Cindy to make a greater effort to refocus on her love of art, devoting more time to creative expression, and serving her family. She moved in with her daughter and helped to care for her grandchildren. Through all of this Cindy never lost hope and maintained an active Christian faith, trusting in Jesus for Salvation and staying active in her local church. Apart from Cindy's love for God and her family she was passionate about helping families and children. She devoted herself to her career, her art and ministry out of the local churches she served in. She was a woman of many talents and passions, also having worked as a counselor, college art instructor, high school teacher, church youth pastor, lay pastor, worship leader, preschool director, mural painter, artist, missionary and stay-at-home-mom. Cindy was a life-long learner. She received an MA in Counseling Psychology from Regis University in 2005, an M.ed in Education from Regis University in 2002, a BA in Fine Arts from Metro State in 1996 and a BA in Sacred Literature from Intermountain Bible College in 1977. She was working toward her Ph.D at the time of her re-diagnosis and was just shy of earning her degree. Most recently, Cindy worked as a professional counselor from 2006 as Clinical Director for the Center for Development and Behavioral Therapy, serving the greater Denver and High Plains areas. She was devoted to helping children and families along with trauma survivors and often offered her services for little to no charge for those in need.
