Obituary for Daisy Walsh
Daisy was born in China and joined her forever family at eight months old. She is an extraordinary child who lived life as a reflection of how God asked us all to live. She is lovely and has the perfect amounts of wit and charm. Her laughter pierced the soul.
She loved life and lived it to the fullest and every day was a special day. She delighted in telling a good joke to make someone laugh. She loved her dog Cupcake and the two were inseparable. She loved making a difference for children battling cancer and helped raise money for St. Baldricks and took part in yearly walks to benefit The National Brain Tumor Society. Daisy was involved with Team Impact and was matched with Regis University Woman’s Lacrosse Team where she spent much of her time sharing her love of life and jokes with the team and her best friend, Wendy Donier.
She didn’t fear cancer and she won her battle on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. She knew this was not her final destination and a she is alive in heaven! She fought the disease with grace and humor for seven years and stayed positive throughout that time. The love and joy she spread to others will forever leave a gigantic hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She wouldn’t want us to cry in her absence but she would want us to dance and sprinkle kindness with a joke or two along the way... because life and love are worth it. Even in the hard times.
She leaves behind so many who fiercely loved her, including both of her parents, Don and Natalie Walsh from Aurora, CO. A brother, Brendan, sisters, Monica and Isabella and a niece, Lily. She is also survived by her PaPa, Larry Rivero. Many aunts and uncles, numerous cousins and a newly discovered cousin also adopted from China, Lily Augdahl. She leaves behind a BFF, Charlotte Gates who was affectionately nicknamed ‘Jelly’ and Daisy ‘Peanut Butter’ because they were joined from the heart. She has left behind numerous friends throughout the world.
The family is asking that you refrain from sending flowers. Donations can be given in Daisy’s name to StillBrave.org in lieu of flowers.
