Dale Arthur Hoffman, born to Florence and George W. Hoffman on February 25, 1930, in Denver, CO; passed into our Lord’s arms on November 4, 2023. He is survived by his wife Evelyn Coffin Hoffman, his daughter Bambi (Hoffman) Moss (married to Ira Moss) of Conifer, CO, his grandchildren Catharine Marie Moss of Saco, ME, David Benjamin Moss of Littleton, CO.
Dale earned his PhD. from Colorado State University in 1962, followed by a lifelong career with BLM, Fish and Wildlife. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hiking and being in the woods in his home in Conifer, CO. Going to walks with his grandchildren was one of his greatest joys as he got older.
He was an active “friend of Church of the Hills” (Evergreen, CO) for almost 50 years, being a part of Trout Unlimited, Mountain Genealogists Society, and so many more throughout his 50+ years of living in Conifer.
Dale will be remembered forever in our hearts as a gentleman, a prince, a kind soul, and a wise man, he was called “Goombah” by his grandchildren which fit him to a “T”.
