Obituary for Darrel Eugene Stuhmer
Darrel Eugene Stuhmer, 72, of Centennial, Colorado, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 of sudden cardiac arrest.
Family and friends gathered February 23 for a viewing at Ellis Family Services in Littleton, Colorado.
Born December 31, 1943 in Minden, Nebraska Darrel was the oldest son of Anton and Leona Stuhmer. He is survived by his wife, three children and two grandchildren, as well as his brother, Calvin Stuhmer and his wife Mary of Sutton, Nebraska and sister Joyce Merritt of Minden, Nebraska.
Darrel attended Kearney State where he met Cheryle Marlene Kuck of Edison, Nebraska. The two married in September of 1963 and moved to Colorado where they raised their children Ginger, Jeff and Chris. Darrel graduated from the University of Colorado and went on to run his own business for many years.
Central to his life was his family. He devoted countless hours as both coach and supporter to any and all activities featuring his children and grandchildren, Austin and Kelsey.
