Obituary for Dorothy B. Walker
Dorothy, age 80 of Wind Crest Community of Highlands Ranch went home to her Lord on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Denver Hospice Lowry Center in Denver, Colorado. She was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming to William and Mary Bruner.
Dorothy wed Robert H. Walker on November 10, 1956, the first wedding in the new St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Bowling Green, Ohio. Following their marriage Bob enrolled in Bowling Green State University and Dorothy put her new R.N. to use at the University Health Service.
During these college days two daughters were born, Deborah Marie and Catherine Mary. The family moved to California to finish college and Bob found employment as a police officer for Long Beach. The Walker family moved to Colorado and Dorothy served as a Registered Nurse at Swedish Medical Center before her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter Catherine Walker Christensen of Evergreen, Colorado.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Robert H. "Father Bob" Walker and her daughter Deborah Marie.
