Lowell, age 90 of Denver, Colorado. After having been confined to bed for two years, Lowell passed away peacefully at home on April 11, 2016. He is survived by his wife Rita, his son David of Ingram TX, and his daughters Thelma of Tempe, AZ and Marilee of Claremont, CA. His daughter Kathy of Denver, CO, preceded him in death as did his five sisters and eight brothers He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-children.
Lowell proudly served his country in World War II aboard the USS Tennessee in the Pacific Theater and later in the Naval Reserves. He followed in his father’s footsteps working as a carpenter for over fifty years.
During the period of time when he no longer was able to walk, especially during his six months in home hospice, Lowell never complained. He always welcomed visitors with a smile and “I’m fine” as a response when asked how he was doing. He never failed to say “I love you” when a guest left his room. Lowell was never impatient…except for his “home-going;” he was impatient to meet Jesus (and now he has)!
