Edward Arnold Hartwig of Littleton, Colorado, passed away on November 5, 2023. He was born on May 18, 1947 in Detroit Michigan, and worked as a Ramp Serviceman for United Airlines in Detroit and Denver for 35 years.
Ed enjoyed the outdoors of Michigan and Colorado, and especially loved the deer hunting season in Northern Michigan. He could often be found working in his yard, meticulously caring for the beauty of his grass and flowers, while socializing with his neighbors. Ed also took joy in spending time with family at the Michigan lake house he and his wife of 58 years, Judy, purchased in 2005. They shared many travel experiences around the world, highlighted by an Alaskan cruise with their children and grandchildren to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Ed is survived by his wife, Judy, and their three daughters, Robin (Eric) Hartwig, Renee (Robert) Ott, and Rachelle (Steven) Woods. Ed also loved his five grandchildren Kaitlin (Kasim) Dughlas, Alex (Sarah) Ott, Andrew Ott, Brenden Marvin, and Adam Ott. He also has a surviving sister, Carol Windham.
A Catholic Rosary and Funeral Mass will take place at Light of the World Roman Catholic Church in Littleton on Monday, November 13th, beginning at 10:30 am.
Memorial donations in Ed’s honor can be made to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources donation site at michigan.gov. Please place Ed’s name in the “Name of Honoree” field on the website.
