Celebrating Faye Nolan - December 30, 1974 to May 5, 2022

Faye was born in Danbury, Connecticut on December 30, 1974 to George and Christine Giannaras. She spent her elementary school years in Danbury Connecticut. In 1987 her family moved to Brookfield Connecticut where she graduated from Brookfield High School. Faye attended Western Connecticut State University where she played rugby. She earned a B.A. in English from Albertus Magnus College. Most recently Faye worked in corporate real estate as a successful Home Marketing Specialist.

In 2012 Faye relocated to Denver, CO where she met her husband Jack Nolan. They were married on July 17th, 2017 in a beautiful ceremony bathed in the salt breeze at Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Faye made sure the entire thing went off without a hitch and without a hired wedding planner. A truly dream wedding it brought together both families for a full week of celebration.

As a young girl, Faye loved competitive dance and competed regularly in jazz, ballet, tap, and modern styles. A life long lover of poetry and writing, she found inspiration in eloquent, poignant, and sometimes funny quotes. A voracious reader she loved the classics and was often re-reading her favorites which included Shakespeare, the Anne of Green Gables Series, and most recently the Harry Potter books.

Faye was a lively, vivacious, charismatic, fun-loving person, with a zest for life which was truly contagious. Spending time with Faye was a sure ticket to some memorable moments and deep belly laughs. A talented vocalist she won many Kareoke competitions. Faye was not above making fun of herself to cheer someone up or give them a chuckle or to make light of a tough situation. Faye was a great lover of fall animals, especially dogs. Her favorite pals Sparky, and now Peppin and several cats – Gideon and Peanut were lucky enough to have her as their Mom.

The very youngest among us see the world most purely, not colored by a life full of experiences or biases. Children and babies could sense her pure spirit, loving heart, and protective instincts and loved her for it. Faye unabashedly loved them back.

Faye loved to crochet and needlepoint and was extremely skilled and accomplished. If you were lucky enough to receive one of her winter scarfs you were guaranteed to wear it all the time – even if you didn't like scarfs. She would regularly crochet winter hats for cancer patients and squares for local charities, which would be incorporated into blankets for the needy.

She had an almost unhealthy fandom of musicals and british comedies including Absolutely Fabulous. How I Met Your Mother was one of her regular TV shows. She became an ace gardener growing and canning her own veggies. The beds of flowers grown in her backyard garden are truly magnificent.

She loved to entertain her friends and family in her beautifully renovated home. Faye had some help from Jack and her father but ended up being a perfectly acceptable electrician, plumber and contractor. She loved the ocean, the Rocky Mountains, camping and warming up around a fire in the mountains, her backyard, or living room fireplace. If not gardening she was creating ways to make her home even cozier.

Faye is survived by her husband Jack Nolan and the Nolan Family, parents George and Christine Giannaras, and siblings, Alex and his wife Alison, Eric and his wife Kelly. Faye will be deeply missed by her friends and family. Her joyous nature, zest for life, and abundant love will remain a constant source of inspiration in the lives of those who were lucky enough to know her.

A celebration of life and love will be held in her honor on May 9th at 2:00 PM at Ellis Family Services in Littleton, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Faye's name to the Denver Dumb Friends League for animal welfare. Www.ddfl.org
