Obituary for Florence S. Chiodo
Chiodo, Florence S., former long time resident of Grand Junction, and recently of Littleton, CO, died on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Heritage Club of Greenwood Village Assisted Living. She was 97. Mrs. Chiodo was born on March 2, 1915 at Green River, Utah to Malcolm and Rose Politano. She married Frank Chiodo on March 27, 1932, in Price, Utah. Frank and Florence shared over 60 years of marriage together prior to Frank’s death on September 16, 1992. Florence loved spending time with her family, cooking, needle work, crocheting afghans to give to her family whom she treasured as most important in her life. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grand Junction and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Littleton. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank, her son Ken Chiodo and son-in-law Jim Dawson. Florence is survived and loved by her daughter Joan Dawson; daughter-in-law Judy Chiodo; grandchildren Michael (Sue) Dawson, Scott (Teresa) Dawson, Gary (Sara) Dawson, Jill (Kurt) Mills and Shelley (Steven) Lucas, as well as nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Cemetery: Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at the Calvary Cemetery in Grand Junction.
