Obituary for Gail Maxine Hughes
Hughes, Gail Maxine, age 85 of Littleton. Gail was born at home in Mitchell County, Iowa to her parents, Peter August and Bernice Ella Mathiesen. She grew up in Osage and later moved to Ft. Dodge. Both of these in Iowa. She moved to Colorado in 1966. It was here that she met her 'cowboy' Donald Lee Hughes. They were married November 14th, 1967 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. Gail and Don moved several times during their marriage. They finally settled in Littleton, Colorado. Her primary working career was as a steam presser over 30 years for Gigantic Cleaners. Her 'Life' career was taking care of her family, friends and a caregiver. Her special talent was knowing a person's whole life story within ten minutes of meeting them! It was amazing! We are comforted in knowing that she is at home now with her Father in Heaven and now it is her turn to be taken care of.
