They had five children along with their spouses Dennis (Linda), Mark (the late Cindy), Sandra (Mark), Gary (Allison) and Kent (Shawna). Gordon was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and the goodness that it taught. Gordon was a gospel scholar in his own way and loved to read good books. He served in many different capacities in the church – from a young missionary Elder, Bishopric Counselor and Bishop. Gordon served three LDS missions. The first mission was as a young 19 year old to Manchester, England and then two others with his wife Bonnie, again to Manchester, England and another to the Washington D.C. Temple. Gordon also served in the Denver Temple as an ordinance worker from 1998 to 2017.
Gordon owned his own successful business, Medical Specialists Co. He started out selling vitamins and then expanded to physical therapy and chiropractic equipment. He was very respected in his business and well-liked by all who know him. Gordon continued to work in the business until earlier this year.
Gordon was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He was wonderful in every way to all who knew him. He is known to be the funniest, hippest and happiest grandfather around. He was a perfect example of love, patience and service. He was a man without guile. He dedicated his life to God and family. He is our mentor and our exemplar…our Friend.
