Ivan was a man of faith and took great pride in living in ‘God’s Country’. He spent his school age years in Stratton and Golden, Colorado and after living in various locations, he spent his later years in Grand Junction and Naturita, Colorado. He lived his life herding sheep, working long hours on a ranch in North Dakota, as a plumber, he cultivated a produce farm and apple orchard to provide fresh produce across Colorado, and in later years, operated an RV park and mobile home park. His life was full of fun hobbies including collecting classic cars, elk hunting, fishing, country music, and boating. He was an avid Broncos fan and spent his last evening wearing a Broncos shirt to show his support. Ivan brought family and friends together through planning annual Barn Dances where everyone could enjoy dancing, karaoke, live music, homemade Mexican food, and a fun time together. He was fondly referred to as “Gramps” and “Big Gramps” by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ivan loved to share his wisdom with everyone who would like to hear it. His favorite saying was “Do your best and let God do the rest”.
As he would always say, “See you in the next chapter!”
