Obituary for Jack D. Bailey
Jack was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 9th, 1926. Oldest son of Jake and Anna Bailey, he had two brothers Jim and Jerry who have preceded him in death. Jack attended University of Nebraska. After college he entered the U.S. Army Air Force. He served in WWII. In 1959, Jack moved his family from Lincoln, NE to Elgin, Illinois. He worked the majority of his life at the Elgin National Watch Company and Revcor Co. Jack served in the military (U.S. Army and National Guard) and retired as a Major. His hobbies included bowling, golf, wine making (he won a Bronze medal in the CO 2006 Winefest). He was so proud of that! He also was enthusiastic about woodworking and made many beautiful pieces for his family and friends. We will always treasure these. He is survived by his wife Korrine, three children Michael Bailey (wife, Deborah), Pat Bailey, and Cheri Hulke; six grandchildren Scott Hulke (wife, Laura), Kristin Harper (husband, Rob), Lisa Kubelka (husband, Scott), Allyson Todd (husband, Jamie), Katy Waugh (husband, Will), Emily Dillard (husband, Tom) and 17 great grandchildren Matthew, Michael and Ryan Hulke; Lukas, Emma, Claire, and Hannah Kubelka; Riley, Robbie and Finley Harper; Maggie and Gavin Waugh; Jack, Luke, David, Joshua, and Hannah Dillard. He loved his family well! We will miss this wonderful man, husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa!
