Obituary for Jaimie Lynn Jursevics
Colorado State Trooper Jaimie L. Jursevics, age 33, of Denver, Colorado.
Jaimie Lynn (Soesbe) Jursevics joined us in life on October 24, 1982 and left us too soon on November 15, 2015.
She was born in Burke, SD and raised in Rapid City, SD where she attended Dakota Middle School and Rapid City Central High School. Jaimie met the love of her life, Didzis Jursevics in 2003, and moved to the Denver, CO area in 2004. They were joined together in marriage on September 6, 2008 in San Diego, CA.
In 2007, she followed her passion for justice and public service by joining the law enforcement family as a 911 dispatcher. This motivated her to pursue her dream and ultimately join the Colorado State Patrol. She excelled quickly in her career as a State Trooper earning the respect of her team.
In February 2015, Jaimie and Didzis were blessed with the birth of their beautiful daughter Morgan Lynn. She is the light of their lives. As a dedicated Colorado State Trooper, public service was her passion. As a devoted mother and wife, family life was equally as valuable. Through the years Jaimie’s fiery personality and loving heart will be remembered by all and touched by many.
She leaves behind a loving husband Didzis Jursevics and infant daughter Morgan Lynn of Denver, CO, her parents Joe and Jolene Torres of Kingman, AZ, father Brett Soesbe of Gregory, SD, siblings Tera Elzey (Dustin) of Fountain, CO, Alissa Penikas (Justin) of Killeen, TX, Dylan Torres of Kingman, AZ, Amber Torres of Asheville, NC, Skila Soesbe of Rapid City, SD, Skye Soesbe of Sioux Falls, SD, Shelby Soesbe of Yankton, SD, grandmother Joan Gustafson of Rapid City, SD, Virginia Soesbe of Gregory, SD, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She also leaves behind a large group of very special friends and colleagues.
