Jim is best known to be an outdoor enthusiast and loved being in God's creation. His family was always very important to him and he loved getting together with them. He enjoyed taking the grandchildren fishing and hunting and planned numerous family campouts. He had an "infectious laugh", which made people smile.
Retirement years included traveling, camping, hunting, family, and projects at home. Last year his moose hunt was successful at the age of 76.
Jim loved Jesus and whenever he had the opportunity would be a "missionary for Christ".
Jim's most recent job was for the National Park Service as an Environmental Engineer and retired in 2013, after 41 years working for the Federal Government.
There was never a man who loved his country more. He was a true patriot and prayed for the USA daily.
A private family service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Redemption Hills Church in Littleton, Colorado.
One of Jim's favorite charities was Amazima Ministries, founded by Katie David Majors, in Uganda. If you would like to donate to this organization, please go to: amazima.org. There is a donate button at the top of the page and a field to fill "in memory of".
