Jim passed away at age 84 in Denver, CO. He was born in Oak Hill, WV, the son of a coal miner. Jim was a devoted family man who dearly loved his wife and children. He loved to laugh and was a lifelong learner. He served in the Air Force in Korea and later worked at Lockheed Martin Aerospace for almost 35 years. He was very proud of being part of the Space program. Jim is survived by Beverly, his wife of 57 years, his daughter Shari, his son Scott, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his father Joseph, his mother Anna, and his two sisters, Anna and Joline.

There will be a service with military honors on January 17, 2017, at 10:30 am at Staging Area B, Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80235, with a reception to follow at the home of Jim and Bev’s dear friends, Clarence and Lynn Bunnell.
