Alpert, James 'Jim' W., 70 of Littleton Colorado. Jim had a passion for life and adventure receiving his pilot's license at the yound age of 21. With his ambition of becoming a pilot he decided his life would be better served with the US Military serving both in the Air Force and the Marines. Following his military tour he protected his community with the Santa Barbara Police department both as a street cop and accelerated onto the Santa Barbara Drug Task Force team. His life career was finally decided when he discovered his position with Lockheed Martin as Chief Investigator where he retired after twenty years. Jim was born in Duluth, Minnesota, August 15, 1941 and passed on March 4, 2012 in Denver, Colorado. Jim is survived by wife Deborah Alpert, children Barbara Angarcia, Trisha Route, Damon Thomas, Tia Thoms and Trenton Thoms. He is survived by grandchildren, Kristi Smith, Christian Route, Kylie Route, Noel Thomas, Skye Thomas, Ronin Thoms and Neelah Thoms. Jim was preceded in death by parents, Elinor Alpert and Maurice Alpert and his son, Derek Thomas.
