Obituary for Jamie Lee King
Jamie, age 92 of Lakewood, Colorado. Peacefully early Sunday morning at the Mapleton Care Center in Lakewood, Colorado. She was born in Sheridan, Arkansas to Milton and Troy (nee Duncan) Baker. Jamie graduated from Frost High School in Frost, Texas in 1942.

From 1942 to 1945 she was a Rosie the riveter, and then was promoted to an Aircraft Inspector, Inspecting the first P-51 Fighter for flight. She served in the United States Army form 1945 to 1946 working as a Physical Therapy Tech at Letterman General Hospital's Burn Unit in San Francisco, California.

In 1950 she married Everett C. King in Los Angeles, California and to this union were born two sons, Dennis in 1953, and Steve in 1954 both sons were born in Lubbock, Texas. The family moved to Denver, Colorado in 1959 and in 1965 Clancy and Jamie moved into their home on West Iliff Avenue in Lakewood where they resided until 2007. Jamie then moved into Mapleton Care Center where she has resided for the past 10 years.

Jamie worked as a Preschool Teacher at Bear Creek Presbyterian Church from 1970 to 1975.

She was preceded in death by her husband Everett "Clancy" King on February 12, 2007.

Mother of Dennis and his wife Janet King of Lakewood, Colorado and Stephen and his wife Kathy King of Ridgeway, Colorado. Grandmother of Tara and her husband Anthony Mirenda, Patrick and his wife Nikki Bonilla King and the late Chaney C. King. Great grandmother of Christian, Grayson, and Ashley Chaney Mirenda and Tennyson Lee Bonilla-King.
