Obituary for Janna (Janette) Moll
On Thursday, July 21, 2022, Janna (Janette) Moll of Highlands Ranch, Colorado – a bright and generous spirit with endless love and laughter to share - left her earthly body at the age of 66.
Janna was a force of nature. As a teen, she and her dog travelled the U.S. in a van. She lived and worked on a California commune, served as a crisis counselor in Michigan, started a successful healing practice, organized and spoke at conferences promoting holistic health practices, was a leader in creating the field of energy medicine, and founded Energy Medicine Specialists, an organization offering coursework and training in the discipline.
Together with and through the professional peers she trained, she touched innumerable lives. She shared her wit and wisdom in classes she taught in North America, Australia, Africa (with Doctors Without Borders), and India. The thread that tied all her experiences together is the desire to help others heal.
Somehow, at the same time, she managed to earn her bachelor’s and advanced degrees, train in multiple energy disciplines, psychotherapy, and coaching, AND be a loving mother and partner. She has been published in texts, newsletters, and e-periodicals on various topics in the field of energy medicine.
Oh…and she loved hats…goofy, fancy, plain, it didn’t matter!
Janna is survived by her partner, Jeff Benson; children, Chelsea and Duncan; son-in-law, Ryan Behner; daughter-in-law, Emily Moll; sisters, Cindi and Obejoyful; and many more loving family members and friends. Her passing is preceded by her mother, Eva and father, Bob.
A private Celebration of Life for family was held on August 6, 2022, with remembrances and laughter. If it speaks to you, donations can be made in her name to the Healing Touch Worldwide Foundation's Animal or Janet Mentgen Funds.
