Obituary for Jewel "Judy" Marie Keane
Mrs. Jewel "Judy" Marie (Graham, Wagner) Keane of Littleton, Colorado, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020, at the age of 75. Jewel was born to S. O. and Stella Graham on February 26, 1945, in Frederick, Oklahoma. Family and friends have always called her Judy.
Judy graduated as Valedictorian from Frederick High School, Frederick, OK. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Business Education. Judy received her Master’s degree in Vocational Education from Colorado State University.
Judy moved to Colorado in 1966 and started her teaching career in the Business Department at North High School in Denver, CO, where she taught for over 35 years. Judy also taught a night class at Emily Griffith Opportunity School.
Judy was an active member of Denver Temple Baptist Church where she served for many years as church organist. Her recent church home was Applewood Baptist Church in Wheatridge, CO.
Judy met her husband Gary while square dancing. She and Gary were married in Halifax, Nova Scotia on September 19, 2009. They have enjoyed traveling especially to Alaska and to Ireland.
Judy is survived by her husband Gerrit "Gary" L. Keane, Jr. of Littleton, CO, and his children Erik Keane of Lakewood, CO, and Heidi Trimble of Montrose, CO; son from first husband (John Adam Wagner) Joseph Matthew Wagner and wife Angie of Henderson, NV; granddaughters Addison Grace and Aubrey Kate Wagner and Emma Trimble; brothers Gary Andrew Graham and wife Rose Marie of El Cajon, CA, and Lee Ogden Graham of Oklahoma City, OK; nieces Ann Marie Amore, husband Ottone Amore of El Cajon, CA, Suzanne Esther Graham, husband Paul Wade of San Diego, CA, and Jennifer Petering, husband Matt Petering of Oklahoma City, OK; great-niece Lily Graham; great-nephews Wade and Bryce Petering.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Applewood Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
