Obituary for John Joseph Hochevar
Hochevar, John Joseph, age 73 of Littleton, a loving husband, father and grandfather is proceeded in life by his beautiful and loving wife of 53 years Sharon M. Hochevar, his three sons, Jim and his wife Linda, Scott and his wife Cara and Mitchell Hochevar. Grandchildren, Sam, Garrett, Colton, Abigail, Ellie and Zoe Hochevar and sister, Mary Ann Roza. Preceded in death by his oldest son Ronald Hochevar. John was born in Murray, Utah on Jan. 30, 1940 to Joseph and Anne Hochevar. John was a polio survivor at a young age and although handicapped he would never let it become a disadvantage or use it as an excuse in the way he lived life. On October 17th, 1959 John married Sharon M Northrup an always loving, loyal and devout wife for over 53 years and by his side to the very end. John moved to Colorado in 1970 with family in tow. While working for International Harvester Scout division he quickly climbed the ranks into the position of Regional Marketing Manager. For 27 years with International, he was in demand which required him and his family transfer from Colorado to Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, and Texas and eventually back to Colorado in 1980. His passion in life was his friends and family. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and served 2 terms as Grand Knight. He was also a member of the Elk’s. John was fortunate and blessed to have the opportunity to travel abroad with his wife and friends to places such as Italy, Slovenia, Scotland, Greenland, Iceland, Switzerland and other overseas destinations. But the thing that defined him the most was his staunch convictions, astute sense of humor and his loyalty to his family, friends and most importantly God. He will be sincerely missed by all whom were fortunate enough to be a part of his life. We can see him now, walking through (no running through) the Shadow of the Valley of death. God Bless you, we will love and miss you always.
