Obituary for Josef Appelhans
Appelhans, Josef, 65, of Littleton passed away on July 12th 2012, of cancer surrounded by his wife and children. He was born in Harsewinkel, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, January 17th 1947, to Maria and Jakob Appelhans. He immigrated to the United States in 1955 with his parents and brother. He married his high school sweetheart Kathleen Browning in January of 1968. He enjoyed traveling, going on Caribbean cruises, and trips to Las Vegas with his wife as well as evenings in Blackhawk with his mother and wife. His hobbies included talking with anyone, garage 'saling' and spending time with his family. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew and cousin. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen; loving mother Maria; brother Reinhold; son Alex; daughter Amanda; and grandchildren Allison, Charles, Jakob and Samantha as well as numerous relatives here in Colorado and Germany. He was preceded in death by his father Jakob Appelhans. He was a wonderful husband,father and grandfather and will be forever missed and always loved.
