Lothar Kremer was born to Arthur and Tatiana Kremer, immigrants from Germany, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on June 23, 1957.
At age 6, the family moved to New Jersey.
Lothar graduated from West Morris Central High School in 1975. Early childhood interests of construction and working on cars (VW and Porsche), matured to include auto racing (beginning in Englishtown, NJ) architecture, and engineering.
In 1980, he graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Moving to Colorado in 1980, he entered the fire protection industry as an engineer and manager, retiring in 2020 from Western States Fire Protection after four decades of exemplary service.
Never leaving his interest in architecture and construction, he privately designed and built family member homes, churches and office buildings.
As time and finances allowed, Lothar’s passion for speed and automobiles, grew into years of successful and accomplished auto racing and service with Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing and Sports Car Club of America. He was also an avid car collector, restorer, best describing himself as a preservationist.
He is survived by his brother Reiner, sister-in-law Alice, niece Jessica (Andrew) and nephew Justin (Sarah), and the many, many dear friends.
Lothar finished the race of life as a man of honesty, decency, and integrity. A great friend of many. Peacefully, he found his most special place, safely in the arms of Jesus Christ.
Lothar is and will be greatly missed.
