Obituary for Mabel M. Law
Law, Mabel M., born in Douglas County, Colorado to Oscar and Grace Morgan. She was one of eight children. Mabel graduated from Castle Rock High School at the young age of sixteen. She enjoyed dancing, so much that it allowed her to travel to many different places. In 1940 Mabel met her soon to be husband through a friend. On December 6, 1942 Mabel married Raymond Law. She worked for several years at Swatters building bomb cases and luggage. On February 18, 1950 Mabel and Raymond Law became parents to their first daughter Joyce. When Joyce was three Mabel and Raymond opened up their own Radio and Television repair shop in Englewood Colorado. On February 29, 1956 Mabel and Raymond gave birth to their second daughter Carol. After closing the repair shop Mabel became a full time housewife until the year 1968 when she went to work for Woolworth’s. In 1974 Mabel went to work for Kmart where she spent 19 years working the front door as a door greater and in the stock room as a stocker, retiring in 1993. In January of 1994 Mabel lost her husband, Raymond, of 52 great years. Mabel is survived by her daughters Joyce K. Hooker and Carol J. Adams, grandchildren Jennifer Hooker, Gregory Vest and Heather Vest, and great grandchildren William Raymond Hooker, James Oliver Hooker, Victoria Lynn Davenport, Anthony Raymond Vest and Vinsint Allan Daniel Vest. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and granddaughter Susan Hooker. Mabel was the type of person that had a caring heart to help everyone.
