Obituary for Margaret Joan "Gertie" Murphy
Margaret "Gertie" Joan Murphy, nee Nairn, of Sligo Town, County Sligo, Ireland, 93, died peacefully in her sleep on April 10, 2020 at her assisted living residence in Aurora.
Margaret was born on June 25, 1926, in County Sligo to Kate and Patrick Nairn.
Margaret was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and travel. She also loved to watch ballroom dancing.
Margaret is survived by her loving daughter, Celine Hundt of Castle Pines, her son-in-law Allan Hundt, and her grandchildren Cayley and Andrew. She is fondly remembered and mourned by her extended family in Ireland.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, John Murphy of Ardfinnan, County Tipperary, Ireland.
Arrangements are with Ellis Funeral Home in Littleton, Colorado.
