Obituary for Maria M. Gonzalez
Maria, age 100 at Ft. Collins, Colorado of Cutler Bay, Florida.
María Magdalena (García) González was born July 22, 1918 in the city of Colón, Matanzas Province in Cuba.
She was married to Eladio H. González who passed away on December 2nd 1985. Both María and Eladio lived for many years in Indianapolis, Eladio came in July of 1956 and María followed him on Jan 9th 1958. María passed away peacefully on June 14th 2019, in Fort Collins, CO, surrounded by the love of her two daughters and son-in-Law Miguel, after a short illness. María is survived by her twin daughters Judith C. Lavaux of Fort Collins and Edith F. Ángel of Indianapolis, IN. Four grandchildren, Cristina Bouchta (Redouan), Lou Lavaux (Suzanne), Andrew Lavaux ((Kara) and Lizette Marie Ángel (Dr. Mohammed Qayyum). Seven great grandchildren, Omar, Ismael, Maxwell, Megan, Mikayla, Lindon and Collin.
María was a seamstress for many years for William H. Block Co. in Indianapolis until both of them retired to Miami on Dec. 20th 1980. For the past seventeen years María has lived with her daughter Judith in Fort Collins, CO.
Funeral arrangements were conducted by Ellis Family Services of Littleton, with a viewing on June 20th attended by family members and many of her beloved friends, to pay their last respect to a great human being.
Her funeral will be celebrated on July the 5th with her body present at a Mass in St. Brendan Catholic Church, 8725 SW 32nd Street in Miami, after Mass her body will lay to rest together with her husband Eladio, at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, 6200 SW 77th Ave. Miami, FL.
María Magdalena (García) González nació el 22 de julio de 1918 en la ciudad de Colón, provincia de Matanzas, Cuba.
Estaba casada con Eladio H. González, quien falleció el 2 de diciembre de 1985. Tanto María como Eladio vivieron muchos años en Indianápolis, hasta retirarse. Eladio llegó a Indianapolis en julio de 1956 y María lo siguió el 9 de enero de 1958. María falleció luego de una breve enfermedad el 14 de Junio de 2019, en Fort Collins, CO, rodeada por el amor de sus dos hijas y su yerno Miguel. A María le sobreviven sus hijas gemelas Judith C. Lavaux de Fort Collins y Edith F. Ángel de Indianápolis. Cuatro nietos, Cristina Bouchta (Redouan), Lou Lavaux (Suzanne), Andrew Lavaux ((Kara) y Lizette Marie Ángel (Dr. Mohammed). Siete bisnietos, Omar, Ismael, Maxwell, Megan, Mikayla, Lindon y Collin.
María fue costurera durante muchos años para William H. Block Co. en Indianápolis hasta que ambos se retiraron a Miami el 20 de diciembre de 1980. Durante los últimos diecisiete años, María vivió con su hija Judith en Fort Collins, CO.
Los arreglos funerales están a cargo Ellis Family Services de Denver, el 20 de Junio su cuerpo estuvo expuesto en la funeraria de Denver, donde asistieron miembros de su familia y muchos de sus queridos amigos para rendir tributo y respeto a este gran ser humano.
Su funeral se celebrará el 5 de Julio con una misa de cuerpo presente en la iglesia católica St. Brendan en Miami, después de la misa, su cuerpo descansará junto a su esposo Eladio, en el cementerio Memorial Park, 6200 SW 77th Ave. Miami, Florida.
