Obituary for Merla Marsh
Marsh, Merla, age 85 of Highlands Ranch. The Reverend Merla Adell Marsh was born Feburary 19, 1929 in Highland Park, Michigan. She attended Utica High School where she met her husband Robert E. Marsh. Shortly after graduation and Bob entering the U.S. Navy they were married. She faithfully followed Bob during his career giving birth to their 4 children, Michael R., Steven E., Laura L., and Brenda L., providing stability for the family and making a new home with each transfer. At age 51, Merla was called to the ministry and she attended Chaminade college in Hawaii graduating Magna Cum Laude and with several other honors in 3 1/2 years. She attended San Francisco Theological Seminary graduating with a Masters of Divinity. Called by the First Presbyterian Church of Dunedin Florida she was ordained a Minister of the Word. After serving this church for 10 years she retired at age 70 as Associate Pastor Emeritus. She and Bob then returned to Hawaii where they enjoyed remodeling their home and doing some extensive traveling. In 2007, they moved to the Wind Crest retirement community to enjoy their remaining days. She is survived by her husband, 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Private inurnment at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
