Obituary for Michael Wayne Carter

Carter, Michael Wayne, age 51 of Littleton.

Michael Wayne Carter, “Mike,” 51, with his wife, son, and dad by his side, went to be with our Lord on Friday, August 13, 2021.

Mike was born on August 18, 1969, in Oakland, California at Alameda County Hospital. Mike was reportedly the largest Carter baby, arriving at a whopping 9 lbs 15 oz!

While Mike was the youngest in a mixed family of eleven kids, he was by no means the runt of the family. Nonetheless, Mike had mentioned many times it seemed he was always blamed for everything.

Mike attended elementary school in Idaho, middle school in Missouri, and high school in California. Mike held a wide variety of jobs in his life, including Apple Computer, Inc in Quality Assurance, a top graduate of the Colorado State P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards and Training), police officer for Fairplay, CO, NRA certified firearms and personal safety instructor, material handler for Coors, and long-haul truck driver for May Trucking.

Mike’s interests included learning rock guitar riffs, ATV (RZR) adventures, camping, concerts at Red Rocks, Las Vegas (Oakland) Raiders football, Colorado Rockies baseball, Colorado Avalanche hockey, firearms, and a good cigar with a whiskey chaser.

Mike is survived by Pamela Carter (nee Rossi), wife, of Littleton, CO; Travis Carter, son, and his wife Angie, of Meridian, ID; John Carter, Sr., father, of Paulden, AZ; Lois Kenyon (nee Lein), mother and David Kenyon, Sr., step-father, of Caldwell, ID; John Carter, Jr., half-brother, and his wife Julie, of Orlando, FL; Cynthia Fuqua (nee Carter), half-sister, and her husband Terry, of Phoenix, AZ; Barbara Battaglia (nee Kenyon), step-sister, and her husband Sam, of Marsing, ID; David Kenyon, Jr., step-brother, and his wife Wendy, of Wichita, KS; Jeff Carter, brother, and his wife Laurie, of Kuna, ID; Robert Kenyon, step-brother, and his wife Kim, of Nampa, ID, Joan Dodge (nee Kenyon), step-sister, and her husband Jim, of Nampa, ID; Bryan Carter, brother, and his wife Shelly, of Meridian, ID; Donald Kenyon, step-brother, Idaho; Daniel Carter, brother, and his wife Rosana, of Universal City, TX.

Mike's ashes will be scattered along his favorite ATV trail.
