Obituary for Nancy Ellen Misgen
Misgen, Nancy, age 51 of Littleton. Nancy was born on May 18, 1962, to Charles and Karen Timmermann in Elmhurst, Illinois. She was the last born of three children, David the oldest and Robert the middle child. The family moved to Sacramento, California when Nancy was quite young and then moved to Green Mountain area of Colorado first staying in the Homestead Motel before securing permanent lodging on Wright Street across from Dunstin Middle School. Nancy graduated in 1980 from Green Mountain High School, having just had her first date with Matt that month after they met for the first time while both working at the Wendy’s at Union and Alameda in Lakewood. Matt then entered the Navy for five years overseas while Nancy completed a year of college at Ft. Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. It took almost two years to get back together after Matt left active duty. A month and half after their second “first” date they began to live together and were married one and half years later on May 21, 1988. Trying to start a family they suffered two miscarriages. Matt and Nancy moved to Portland, Oregon in 1993 for Matt’s job as a Field Service Manager for Kraco. Nancy secured employment in Human Resources for the Red Lion Hotel until late 1999. She then went on to part time jobs for a while so she could return to Denver at a moments notice, the last part time job becoming full time with MFCP (Motion and Flow Control Products) who thought so much of her that they supported her when she returned to Denver caring for her mom Karen, who died in August of 2000. She remained with MFCP; with them even helping she and Matt return to Colorado in 2013, where she worked at the Denver Corporate Office in Littleton while helping her brother. This move would also allow Matt to be closer to his family. MFCP has been incredible for their support and friendship extended to Nancy and Matt especially the past months and days. Nancy is survived by her husband Matt, her two cats, two dogs and five chickens. She is also survived by her brothers Dave and Robert Timmermann.
