Obituary for Nancy K. Schade
Nancy was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She was a homemaker and mother in her early years and later had a career at Mountain Bell. Nancy was adventurous, generous and compassionate all her life. She was brave before her time in keeping her family together. She enjoyed antiques and garage sales, hiking and backpacking (she once hiked all of the Hawaiian Islands), travel and her cats. She always made sure there was extra at meal time and a Christmas gift for everyone. She provided a welcome home for both the two-legged and four-legged critters her children brought home; once having two dogs, two cats, one bird and a opossum at home at the same time. She was a loving mother in her own way and we will always miss her. Nancy was the daughter of Albert and Marguerite Guthner; wife of John W. Schade, Sr.; mother of Rachel, Albert (Barbara), John, and Constance; grandmother of Andrienne, Candice, David, Jesse, and Noah; great-grandmother of Alec, Tye, Maya, Margaret, Owen, Claire, William, and Daniel; and aunt to numerous nieces, nephews and adopted friends of her children.
