Norma Jean Hale of Littleton, Colorado.
On the morning of March 12, 2023, Norma passed away peacefully of natural causes. She was being visited and comforted by family members at the Brookdale Mirage Inn Memory Care facility in Rancho Mirage, California. Norma was 95 years old.
Norma was born in 1928 in Englewood, Colorado. She was the only child of Bertha Miller and Frank Gruenfeldt. She had three half brothers. She graduated from Englewood High School and earned an Associates Degree at Colorado Women’s College.
She married Dave Hale in 1952. They got into all sorts of adventures together including camping, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. Together they owned Hale Electric in Littleton, Colorado for 36 years. Norma was the office manager and bookkeeper.
She loved Colorado and lived in the home her husband built until mid 2022. In July, she moved to California to live with her son David, where she enjoyed sitting in the sunshine and watching airplanes.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Dave Hale. She is survived by: children Jeni Walker (Bob), David Hale (Rich Hegstad), Leigh Anne Christianson (Eric); grandchildren Nikki Huls (Allan), Alex Walker (Caitlin), Erica Green (Zane), Erin Ward (Jeff) and Shannon Didelius (Karl); great-grandchildren Dash Walker, Theo Walker, Vivienne Walker, Haley Huls, Gideon Huls, Kai Green, Kayson Green, Piper Ward, Blaine Didelius , Tegan Didelius.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday , March 27 at the Chapel at Ellis Family Services, 13436 West Arbor Place, Littleton, CO 80137. Burial will follow at Littleton Cemetery.
Donations in Norma’s name may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Littleton, Colorado.
