Obituary for Pamela Elaine Winberry
Pamela Elaine (Pickerel) Winberry, 64, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away peacefully March 1, 2015. Pam was a wonderful wife to John and a loving mother to Alissa. Pam was impossibly kind, incredibly thoughtful, and possessed a unique ability to bring joy to all the lives she touched. She particularly enjoyed spending time with the elderly, was an avid reader, and found great passion in travel with her husband, John. Pam was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, on September 28, 1950. She attended Bishop LaBlond High School and Missouri Western State University, both in St. Joseph. She married the love of her life, John, on November 14, 1980. In her early professional years, she worked in accounting, then when her daughter, Alissa, was born, she was dedicated to her upbringing. She spent the past several years investing her compassionate nature in her care of the elderly, where she often went above and beyond, not only being their caretaker, but more importantly, their friend and confidante. Those relationships provided a great livelihood in her life. Pam also took great pride in entertaining friends and family during all the holidays, trying out new recipes, and displaying plenty of festive decorations throughout the Winberry home. Pam is survived in loving memory by her husband, John, her daughter, Alissa, her twin sister, Pat Gordon, her big brother, James Mark Pickerel, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
