Paul Nelson Dahlgren, the youngest of three children, was born to Paul and Eda Dahlgren in the small town of Cambridge, Minnesota. Upon completion of high school he enlisted in the Navy where he served as a telegrapher in Honolulu until the end of WWII.
Returning home after the war, he pursued a business degree at Hamline University where he met Maza Reider whom he married. His business career began with Gould Battery Company. In 1953 he was transferred to Denver, Colorado where he raised his family of two daughters, Jane and Becky. Another transfer returned them to Minnesota in 1968. Shortly after early retirement he lost his wife, Maza, to breast cancer.
Starting over with his life took him to Tucson, Arizona where he resided 30 years, exploring the desert terrain. His many interests included: reading, music, singing, skiing, golfing, hiking, road trips, countless friendships, and reunions with family.
He is survived by daughters jane Conant and Becky Lochbaum, grandsons Eric and Andrew Conant, and three great grandchildren, Aubrey, Blake and Callie Conant.
