Obituary for Phyllis Elsie Runke
Runke, Phyllis Elsie, age 91 of Highlands Ranch. Phyllis passed away peacefully on September 19, 2014. Phyllis was born and raised Mapleton, Minnesota. It was there that she met Darrell Runke and their lives together began. A WWII bride, Phyllis and Darrell married in Sacramento, California, where he was stationed in the Air Force. They spent most of their married life in Minnesota and retired to the beach in Naples, Florida. Phyllis was dedicated to her family, raising five children, and loving on five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Her home was always welcoming to family and friends alike. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Runke, and her son, Ken Runke. She is survived by her son, Timm Runke, and her daughters, Vicky Woitas, Sally Fisher, and Betsy Vaninetti.
