We ask on behalf of the family that you keep your comments uplifting and appropriate to help all who come here to find comfort and healing.
Ray was born on June 2, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa and grew up in Denver. As a boy, Ray was into Boy Scouts and judo. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1969. He married and had a daughter named Laura. Ray graduated from Metropolitan Sate College and worked for the federal government as an auditor.
Ray was the ultimate do-it-yourselfer, and no project was too big for him. He could tackle anything, such as landscaping, building a steam room, finishing the basement, and finishing the garage. He enjoyed doing all his own plumbing, electrical, drywalling, and painting. Ray loved the planning aspect and working with his hands. He also enjoyed tinkering with his vehicles and would spend hours doing all the mechanical repairs himself. Ray loved his cats: Cookies and Mittens and they were probably the most spoiled cats in Denver, and they kept him company for many years. Ray had big plans for his home this summer and was planning to re-landscape his yard and build a second level onto his deck. After COVID got under control, Ray planned to resume his world travels.
Ray was a wonderful friend, neighbor, and family member and we will miss him greatly.
