Obituary for Raymond Leonard Bartusiak
Bartusiak, Raymond Leonard, age 82 of Littleton. Ray died peacefully July 6, 2014 at Littleton Adventist Hospital supported by his loving family. Ray was preceded in death by his father Adam Edward Bartusiak and mother Josephine Kaslon. Ray is survived by his wife Lois of 52 years, three sons Bill (Peggy), Tom, and Bob (Carole), seven grandchildren Blake, Dylan, Courtney, Cody, Brady, Tori and Nina and sister Arlene Buchanan. Ray was born in Ord, Nebraska and spent his childhood in Kearney, Nebraska where he attended high school. He graduated from Nebraska State Teachers College in Kearney, Nebraska and used his degree to teach high school business classes in Arapahoe, Nebraska. After teaching, Ray had a successful career working for Texaco in Montana, Wyoming and Colorado, where he retired after 37 years as a comptroller. Ray was first and foremost a devoted Christian and active parishioner of Saint Timothy’s Episcopal Church. He filled many roles within the church and spent countless hours serving the Lord. Ray was a devoted husband to his wife that he so dearly loved, a proud father and doting grandfather that provided unconditional love and support. Ray never knew a stranger, as he befriended everyone that crossed his path. He greeted people with kindness, a big smile, and a humorous comment. Ray was also an avid gardener and was known to share the bounties of his flower gardens with family, friends and neighbors. Ray will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on forever with those who were fortunate enough to know him.
