GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Roy, age 88 of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Roy passed away September 26th while at the hospital at the age of 88. He was born in Missouri and travelled around the country and world. He graduated as salutatorian at Greenville H.S in Greenville, Mississippi. He received a Bachelor's of Science at LSU and a Master of Science at California Institute of Technology.
He had several occupations during his life including a Pastor at Wellshire Presbyterian Church in Denver.
In 1963, he married Virginia Runck and they were married for 53 years.
He is survived by his daughter (Stephanie), son-in-law (Brad), grandson (Brayden), sister -in-law (Barbara), 2 nephews (Matthew and Andrew) and extended family.
Roy retired after many years as a Computer Engineer at Oppenheimer.
Roy loved animals and people. He never met a stranger because if you met Roy, he was a friend from the words "hello".
He loved having coffee with friends and eating lunch with family. He adored his best friend and companion, his dog Lacee. Lacee was his sidekick and love of his life after Roy lost his wife Virginia in 2016.
Roy was an engineer by trade. But he could do almost anything. He was a family man with a heart of gold.
He was a caring and compassionate husband, father and grandfather. He was kind to his family, his friends and his animals. He simply loved life.
